Project One - Decorating Pots and growing herbs.

Requirements: Plant pots, lots of stickers, paper, shapes, pens etc (can be bought from the local "pound shop".  Various herb seeds

Thomas and Stephanie will show you what to do.

Step One - Get your children to choose a plain plant pot each.

Step Two - They can stick, glue, draw or write on their pots to personalise them.

Step Three - Ask them to choose which seeds they would like to grow, if you have a choice. Cress is probably the best as they will see results in a few days.

Step Four - Fill the pots to 3/4 with general purpose compost

Step Five - Water the seeds - If sowing parsley, use warm water.

Finally - Keep the pots on a windowsill - and remind the children to water before all the soil goes dry - but do not over water!
